As part of the MET’s late night summer programme, last Friday it was the Temple of Denur for a drop-in drawing demonstration with models wearing garments inspired by Issey Miyake.
THIS Friday we were on the rooftops overlooking the New York sky line. What was exciting was that the MET MediaLab were hosting live models specifically to wear my designs.
Having Maori Italian sisters as models was amazing. It was lovely to meet Fran and Nick Royal and the rest of their whanau. Getting photos on the rooftop at the Met was the best; the light, the backdrop and people made it spectacular for a last minute shoot. New York is just one huge catwalk. I can see my garments stomping anywhere in this city.
